Communicating on industry commitments
Recently we spoke at meetings and events to strengthen the relationship with our partners and extend our network of allies and initiatives, helping disseminate our messages to reach 100% sustainable palm oil in Europe to a wider audience. Here are some highlights.

Meeting brings Polish alliance for sustainable palm oil one step closer
Approximately 60 representatives representing food manufacturers, retailers, NGOs, certification bodies, industry associations, and cosmetics/chemistry companies attended a RSPO Roadshow meeting in Poland 15 March 2018.
Together with RSPO, retailers and NGOs, EPOA participates in a Taskforce to set up an Initiative on Sustainable Palm Oil in Poland. The event provided the opportunity to learn more about nutritional and sustainability aspects of palm oil, including RSPO Certification, and provided insights to key industry developments.
On behalf of EPOA, Margot Logman presented during the workshop and participated in a very lively debate resulting in a call for more collaboration on sustainable palm oil in Poland.

Meeting with CPOPC
EPOA chair Frans Claassen met the Council for Palm Oil Producing Countries (CPOPC) in Jakarta, Indonesia to talk about political developments in Europe concerning palm oil.
Palm oil dialog by BASF
On behalf of EPOA Thijs Pasmans spoke at the BASF palm oil debate about his opinion that sharing stories is the key to improve our understanding and cooperation for more sustainable palmoil.
ICOPE 2018
Eddy Esselink represented EPOA at ICOPE 2018, the International Conference on Oil Palm and the Environment in Indonesia, to present the ambitions and approach in Europe for 100% sustainable palm oil in 2020.
