New Danish alliance for deforestation-free palm oil

30 leading Danish companies, organizations and government authorities have recently launched the Danish Alliance for Responsible Palm Oil. Among these members are companies in the food sector, retail and cosmetic industry. Also, WWF is participating in this alliance. Currently, the imports of palm oil in Denmark are estimated to be around 250,000 tons. This alliance will support Danish companies to make the transition to responsible palm oil easier. In addition, it will work to promote dialogue and debate among Danish stakeholders and inform consumers about palm oil and sustainability. This cooperation is facilitated by the Danish Initiative for Ethical Trade (DIEH).
